You are motivated by goals, growth, and meaningful conversations. You know how to turn needs-based conversations into appointments, recommendations, and buying decisions that truly help customers.

About Our Agency

At Jerry Garcia - State Farm Agent, we help people protect what matters most and prepare for the future. We take pride in serving our community with integrity, care, and real support.

Our agency is relationship-driven. We serve new and existing policyholders by helping them understand their risks, protect their families, and make thoughtful decisions about insurance and financial services.

This position is ideal for someone who wants to grow professionally, work with an established book of customers, and become part of a team focused on excellent service, protection planning, and long-term customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with new and existing customers across multiple insurance and financial service product lines.

  • Contact existing policyholders to conduct household reviews and identify protection needs.

  • Set qualified appointments for life insurance, health insurance, disability insurance, supplemental health, and retirement planning conversations.

  • Recommend appropriate insurance solutions based on customer needs.

  • Sell life insurance, disability insurance, supplemental health insurance, and related protection products when appropriate.

  • Support auto, fire, and household insurance conversations while identifying additional customer needs.

  • Follow up with customers and prospects through phone, email, text, and scheduled appointments.

  • Use agency scripts, systems, and activity tracking to maintain consistent performance.

  • Maintain accurate records and provide a professional customer experience.

  • Collaborate with the agency team to achieve sales, service, retention, and growth goals.

Qualifications

  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license preferred.

  • Active Life & Health insurance license strongly preferred.

  • State Farm agency experience is a plus.

  • Prior insurance sales or customer relationship experience preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Comfortable making outbound calls and asking needs-based questions.

  • Able to follow a structured sales process and daily activity standards.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and professional.

  • Coachable, goal-oriented, and interested in long-term growth.

  • Must possess or be able to obtain required state insurance licenses.

Best Fit for This Role

This is a strong fit for someone who wants more than a basic service position.

We are looking for a person who wants to grow into a trusted insurance and financial services professional — someone who can provide excellent customer service while also identifying opportunities to help customers with life insurance, health insurance, disability insurance, supplemental health, and retirement planning conversations.

This role requires proactive customer contact, follow-up, appointment setting, and needs-based recommendations.

Compensation

Compensation includes base pay plus commission and performance-based incentives.

Additional incentives may be available for qualified appointments, insurance production, activity goals, and customer relationship growth.

Training, coaching, scripts, and systems are provided.

Compensation $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
